Selena Gomez is an American actress, singer, and producer who grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. Inspired by her mother’s involvement in local theatre, she developed an early passion for performing. She launched her acting career as a child on the children's television series Barney & Friends. Her major breakthrough arrived when she landed the lead role of Alex Russo on the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place, which catapulted her to international teen stardom and laid the foundation for her multifaceted career in entertainment.

Transitioning seamlessly into the music industry, Gomez initial appeared with her pop-rock band, Selena Gomez & the Scene, before establishing a highly successful solo career. She has released multiple chart-topping albums, including Stars Dance, Revival, and Rare, yielding hit singles such as "Come & Get It" and "Lose You to Love Me". Concurrently, she expanded her acting and producing credits with critically acclaimed projects, notably starring in and executive producing the hit mystery-comedy series Only Murders in the Building.

Beyond her artistic endeavours, Gomez has established herself as a prominent entrepreneur and advocate. She founded Rare Beauty, a widely successful cosmetics brand dedicated to promoting self-acceptance and supporting mental health initiatives through its Rare Impact Fund. Additionally, as a longtime UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, she consistently leverages her massive global platform to raise awareness for social issues, mental wellness, and humanitarian causes worldwide.
